Desalination is the premier international journal dedicated to communicating the latest developments in desalination including theoretical and applied research, technological and industrial development, other osmotic processes and the experience of operators and users.
Desalination Plant can produce up to 30 million imperial gallons per day (“MIGD”) (equivalent to 140 Mℓ or 136,000 m3) of fresh water.
The water produced is used for the company’s on-site needs or sold to a number of external customers.
The Desalination Plant comprises six Multi-Stage Flash (“MSF”) evaporator units, each consisting of 19 stages and capable of producing 5 million gallons of distilled water per day.
Some of the distilled water is retained for industrial uses and the balance is pumped to a blending plant where minerals are added to make it suitable for drinking.
The resulting potable water is very high quality, meeting WHO, GCC and Dubai Municipality standards.
